You can get £112 of Lancome skincare for just £49

With Christmas approaching, Boots has started to release its famous Star Gifts, which are money-saving gift sets with huge reductions from various brands.

The latest addition is the Lancome Boots Star Gift, which contains three full-sized products from the premium brand’s beauty and skincare collections.

The gift set costs £49, however, the contents inside are worth £161 – so there’s a hefty £112 saving to be had, and it could even be split up into several gifts for ultimate value for money.

Buying the set also currently works out as costing the same amount as the Lancome Genifique Ultimate Serum alone, except you’ll get two extra products – technically for nothing.

But, as its a star gift deal from Boots, the offer won’t be around for long/

The star of the set is the Génifique Ultimate Serum, an anti-ageing skincare product which the Boots description describes as:”The new serum is powered with Beta Glucan-CM technology, known to accelerate skin repair. Combined with Hyaluronic Acid, Licorice Extract and our iconic pre-& probiotic fractions, this formula offers the ultimate repair solution, targeting the appearance of redness, fine lines and smoother skin.”

Alongside this, the Génifique Light Pearl Eye & Lashes serum helps to reduce puffiness and smoothes the under-eye area for a more wide-awake look, while the Hypnose mascara can increase the look of lash volume by up to eight times.

As the Star Gift gains popularity, it’s also gaining reviews. One Boots fan said: ”What a fantastic set in a fantastic offer. All items [are] full-sized. My favourite skincare and mascara. Love it, well done Boots!” [SIC]

One shopper did make less positive comments on the mascara, however: ”Really nice mascara that does not get clumpy. It adds volume and form to my lashes and layers nicely if going for a more dramatic evening look. It does transfer slightly after a long day and I’ve noticed I have slight dark marks appearing under my eyes after a long day of wear.” [SIC]
