Will Taylor Swift attend Christmas Day Chiefs road game?

Taylor Swift fans can only wonder if the pop star will attend Wednesday’s historic Kansas City Chiefs game or pass on Pittsburgh.

There’s no shortage of subplots in Netflix’s foray into streaming NFL football on a Christmas Day that includes a 1 p.m. matchup between Swift’s boyfriend’s team and the Steelers in the “All Too Well” singer’s native state.

That game will be followed by a matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans, where Beyoncé will perform a halftime show for her hometown fans.

Will Netflix be able to provide glitch-free service on a day where millions will be watching? Can the Chiefs win a franchise-record 15th game? Is Wednesday the day Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce breaks his team’s record for receiving touchdown by hauling in his 77th six-point grab?

And the big question for some — will his girlfriend be there to see that happen?

Fresh off wrapping up her record-breaking Era’s Tour, the whereabouts of Swift, who often attends Chiefs home games, is an unknown as two AFC division leaders prepare to meet at Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium for a 1 p.m. showdown. Her representative hasn’t responded to a request for comment.

She’s attended all but one Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium this season, according to the Sporting News. The one she missed fell on a night when she too was scheduled to perform. But the 35-year-old star has reportedly been skipping road games due to security concerns.

Swift is from Reading, Pa., which is roughly 260 miles east of Pittsburgh. Kelce, 35, was raised roughly 140 miles northwest of the Steel City in Westlake, Ohio. He’s playing in his 12th NFL season. How much longer Kelce will want to play professional football is also a mystery. His 37-year-old brother Jason Kelce retired earlier this year after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Chiefs are a narrow favorite to beat the Steelers on Christmas Day.
