Two School of Rock stars have married more than 20 years after filming the Hollywood hit with Jack Black.
The 2003 film saw classmates come together to form a band, led by cool but struggling guitarist-turned-teacher Dewey Finn.
Now Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli, who played Marta and Franki respectively, have exchanged vows after meeting aged just 10 during filming. Their romance began in 2016, when they both moved to Florida and bumped into each other again.
Caitlin took to Instagram last week to announce her sweet news, including some stunning snaps showing her looking radiant in a white wedding gown and veil. She accessorised with diamond-studded heeled boots, while her husband rocked a silky black suit.
She captioned her snaps: “Special thank you to everyone who contributed to an unforgettable day!”
The pair tied the knot at the beautiful Park Chateau in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Set on 15 rolling acres of gardens and parkland, the venue features a luxury mansion house for weddings.
Angelo still remembers his wife’s first audition for School of Rock, admitting to Inside Edition Digital: “I get in there and the little blonde girl next to me, she gets called in first and she starts singing show tunes and just blows the roof off the place. It was excellent.”
He added to the New York Times of their romance: “Even though it wasn’t romantic, that familiarity we had and our families had when we were younger, really cut through some of those early relationship hurdles.”
While Caitlin said: “I actually said to one of my close friends, I remember being in an Uber on the way down to Miami one weekend and we were going out and I was like, ‘I think I’m gonna marry this guy.’”
