Princess Kate is renowned for her chic taste and is rarely spotted without show stopping jewellery. The 42-year-old has access to some of the finest pieces around the globe but has taken a shine to designs from sustainable brands over the past decade.
Usually, the Princess of Wales is snapped wearing her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch worth over £5,000 when attending public events representing the Royal Family. It is said to of been a thoughtful gift from her husband, Prince William, to mark their third wedding anniversary in 2014.
However, she occasionally accentuates her outfits with stylish bracelets. Among her private collection of jewellery which is worth over £50,000 is the striking, Art Deco Maya Torque bangle by Halcyon Days.
In 2023, Kate looked stunning in a lime green ensemble while attending the Wimbledon tennis. At the time she accessorised with the stunning bracelet, which is £150.
Meanwhile, it is elegantly capped with enamel that is created from sustainable materials and boasts a chic green gemstone.
It is described by the creative designer as being “crafted from 18 carat gold-plated brass in a tactile scale effect texture that gives it its amphibian-inspired name. The Salamander Torque bangle by Halcyon Days is tipped with smooth coloured cabochons.
“The open-ended shape can be lightly squeezed for a custom fit. Go it alone or stack it up with a jumble of bracelets and chains for a contemporary Boho look.”
It is no secret that Kate is a huge fan of colour and opts for pieces that stand out – this is something she adopted from the late Queen Elizabeth.
And she also champions British brands – Halycon Days is said to be home of English Objets d’Art since 1950 and they committed to sustainability.
Their mission statement says: “Our business no longer manufactures enamel within our factory environment, alleviating any unnecessary chemical use and hazardous waste.”
Princess Kate would no doubt be a huge fan of this as she has been taking steps over the past few years to become more environmentally friendly when it comes to her own fashion debuts.
However, if you are looking for a statement piece to add to your jewellery box this winter but do not want to break the bank then take a look at the Emerald & Crystal Double Row Tennis Bracelet.
