As fans eagerly await the next James Bond announcement, the bookies’ race can often feature a few surprises.
The likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and James Norton may have been the favourites for months now.
But they’re facing competition from newer and younger contenders who are fast rising up the A-list.
Now Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy star Leo Woodall is the latest to join the odds race.
The 28-year-old, who plays a toy boy hunk opposite Renée Zellweger in the rom-com sequel, is now 12-1 at Ladbrokes to replace Daniel Craig.
Best known for HBO’s The White Lotus and Netflix’s One Day, the British actor also stars in Apple TV+ thriller Prime Target. Given his good looks and age, no doubt he’ll catch producer Barbara Broccoli’s eye. The latest next Bond odds also include Paul Mescal 10-1, Jack Lowden 8-1, Josh O’Connor 7-1, Henry Cavill 6-1, Callum Turner 6-1, Theo James 7-2, Aaron Taylor-Johnson 7-2 and James Norton 2-1.
