‘My child’s teacher had an affair with my husband and told the kids to call her mummy’

A wife has confessed that the “other woman” in the marriage was her child’s nursery teacher who put her through a divorce that was “pure hell on Earth”.

On Reddit, there is a forum called Relationship_Advice in which people post problems for an outsider’s perspective on how to solve a conflict.

However, one woman’s complicated relationship has opened up debate over whether she is right or wrong to to take revenge on the teacher.

The woman wrote that her husband left her after nine years of marriage for her younger son’s teacher, who she described as being “crazy”.

“She is nice to my kids but [has taken] every opportunity to rub it in my face how she is now living the life that was supposed to be mine,” the user wrote.

She continued: “My ex and [her] tried to get my kids to call her ‘mommy’ [and] she has inserted herself constantly into my co-parenting with my ex [husband].”

She added that the divorce left her in “mental and financial ruin” and described how the teacher constantly makes passive-aggressive digs at the woman.

The woman wrote: “[The girlfriend] posts pictures of herself baking cookies with my kids with captions like ‘what a stay-at-home-mother does with her darlings while hubby is at work.’”

She also described receiving gifted scrapbook from her children for Mother’s Day, only to discover the girlfriend “helped” make it, and was featured in most of the pictures.

The woman added that the girlfriend’s actions “made [her] blood boil”.

However, she has been called “bitter” and has been told she is “clearly not able to move on”.

Now, the ex-wife has accepts “these two entitled people” are now part of her life for the foreseeable future due to her children.

She wrote: “My main goal is that my kids have a dad in their life and since she is part of the deal, I just kind of suck it up and count down until my youngest is 18.”

However, the internet is divided by how well the woman has dealt with the divorce – as she has now begun dating the  teacher’s former boyfriend.

The woman met a man while on a business trip who she thought “looked familiar” and then it “clicked” that he was the teacher’s ex-boyfriend who “dumped her about a year before she hooked up with my then husband”.

She is now in a “committed relationship” with the man and they are looking to rent a house together. The post was looking for advice on how to tell her former husband and his girlfriend about the relationship.

The woman says that the teacher has also messaged the boyfriend in the past on Facebook saying she still misses him and loves him, and the woman was not sure if she should expose this and tell her ex-husband.

She finished her post by writing: “The word of us will come out and she will have to live for the rest of her life with the humiliation of being rejected by the man she really loves. Plus she will always know the man she loves, loves me.”

The woman has also posted that her boyfriend being the “big love” of the teacher had nothing to do with her feelings towards him, and that she has fallen “deeply and madly” for him.

Commenters questioned the woman’s motives for dating the teacher’s former boyfriend.

One said: “Over seven billion people on this planet and [she] had to pick the one that would maximize drama.”

Somebody else pointed out: “The thing I don’t understand is why the new boyfriend ‘looked familiar’ when they met. Why would [the woman] know what her kindergarten teacher’s boyfriend looked like?”

Another person said: “Something about this post doesn’t add up, and it’s a shame the children are caught in the middle of all these adults’ messy relationships.”
