Morrisons issues warning to anyone who buys milk, coffee and bread

Supermarkets across the UK offered tempting deals to customers over Christmas, and many were still abundant with reduced items.

Morrisons has gone one step further by introducing an expanded price match guarantee for its customers.

The supermarket giant has added a range of essential items to the offering of best-sellers, which are sold in stores and online at a price match with budget competitors, Aldi and Lidl.

Shoppers will find more than 500 everyday staples on shelves starting today, Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

This means those who buy olive oil, coffee, eggs, single cream, and pasta sauce will now find them for unbeatable low prices in Morrisons’ 498 UK stores.

Gareth Lloyd, Head of Price at Morrisons, said: “We’re starting 2025 by doubling down on value for our customers. Expanding our Price Match means more of the essentials and brands customers love at the prices they expect, with the quality they trust from Morrisons.

“This builds on the savings and rewards we’ve introduced throughout the year – from price cuts to better deals for our More Card members. It’s all about helping shoppers get more for their money.”

The expanded price match guarantee comes in time for the revamped loyalty scheme launch. Morrisons More Card customers can now earn five points for every product purchased in stores, online, at Morrisons Daily convenience stores and even on Amazon.

As for how to redeem them, shoppers will earn points on everything they buy and can convert them into “Morrisons Fivers” to slash £5 off future shops.
