Man fatally shot in the head near Hutchinson River Parkway in the Bronx

A man was fatally shot in the head Tuesday near the Hutchinson River Parkway, cops said.

Police responding to a 911 call of an assault around 11:47 a.m. on Bruckner Blvd. and Hutchinson River Parkway found a 53-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld until his family is notified.

There were no immediate arrests. The victim was taken to the medical examiner’s office.

Video taken by a person at the scene shows police investigating along the underpass of the Hutchinson River Parkway.
