Dwight Howard and rapper Amy Luciani have not only officially confirmed their relationship, but that they’re engaged.
The former Los Angeles Lakers center-forward, 39, and the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star hard-launched their relationship on Instagram Friday and with it, the news that they’re headed down the aisle.
“I was enjoying you so much out of the public eye but here we are,” Luciani, 34, captioned a carousel, which begins with a video of Howard rubbing the large diamond adorning her left ring finger.
It’s unclear how long the happy couple have been together, but Luciani said they bonded over religion and prayer. She revealed that two days after she “prayed realllllll deep,” God sent her “a Bible totin’, tattood [sic] giant with the same heart as me.”
The carousel also includes several other videos, including one of the two discussing whether they’ve prayed that day, one in which they’re dancing amongst friends and another where they’re dancing in front of a mirror.
The spouses-to-be shared a joint post on Friday, featuring them posing on the red carpet at the Atlanta premiere of “Den of Theives 2: Pantera.”
The couple didn’t mention when they plan to tie the knot, though their marriage will make Luciani both a wife and a stepmom to Howard’s five children.
News of the engagement comes months after the August dismissal of a lawsuit accusing the Basketball Hall of Fame contender of sexual assault and battery.
Stephen Harper’s suit, filed in July 2023, accused the NBA alum of forcing him into a threesome two years earlier. Howard maintained the encounter was “consensual.”
