It can be quite a tricky task navigating the January sales but if you’re on the hunt for a new coat, we’ve found an impressive deal that could save you £120. Originally £219.99, Debenhams have reduced the Mountain Warehouse Waterproof 3-in-1 Long Padded Coat to less than £100.
Now, £99.99, it’s an offer that is better than half price, and as the coat has been hailed as such ‘good quality’, it should be an investment that lasts for years to come.
The versatile jacket comes in five colours – black, khaki, navy, dark grey and light beige, ranging from UK sizes six to 24. It features a removable padded inner for added warmth on colder days and a waterproof outer with adjustable hooded to keep you sheltered from rain and wind.
The long waterproof jacket is as stylish as it is practical and out of the 20 customer reviews left on Debenhams, 14 of them have rated it a full five stars.
One such five star review reads: “I have lots of jackets, but I needed something that was a bit longer for the bad weather. This is breathable, waterproof and perfect for the Scottish weather.”
Another said: “Flattering fit, cosy and definitely waterproof. Have had many compliments wearing this. Excellent value in the sale.”
Deducting one star, someone else wrote: “Great coat. Very warm. Bought in the sale…Only problem it was very creased…Left it for several days, but had to steam in the end. Don’t know if that will affect the waterproof part.”
Highlighting that its 3-in-1 nature means it can be worn year-round, someone shared: “Waterproof and windproof! Really slim and not bulky – looking forward to using it in spring with the 2 different layers!”
However, someone else came into difficulties with the coat and were displeased with the pockets. They wrote: “The coat was expensive. The internal pocket was not sewn at the bottom of the pocket, therefore was totally useless, so was not a pocket at all. I actually lost my mobile phone which I had put in the pocket, assuming it was an actual pocket.”
