Concealer Meghan Markle uses to brighten her eyes on sale at Boots | Royal | News

It has widely been reported that Meghan Markle swears by the Touche Éclat concealer by Yves Saint Laurent as part of her beauty regime. Popular with celebrities and beauty editors alike, Boots shoppers can nab the YSL Touche Éclat Illuminating Pen Gift Set for £24 down from £30, saving 20% off the premium beauty box.

The YSL Touche Éclat Illuminating Pen would set you back £30.50 if you were to buy it individually so the gift set is a great way to save more than £6 and get a lipstick essentially for free.

Meghan explained her love of the product to Birchbox: “And then in terms of actual beauty products, I would say one of my favourite things in the world is just Touche Éclat concealer under the eyes. It’ll save you on the days when you didn’t get quite enough sleep.”

To open up your eyes, apply a highlighter like Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat in the inner corner. This trick is especially good when we are filming at 3am and I need to look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.”

The YSL Touche Éclat Illuminating Pen Gift Set contains the Touche Éclat Illuminating Pen formulated to brighten your facial features, as well as a mini Rouge Pur Couture Nu Muse Lipstick to complete any look.

Using light-diffusing technology, apply the YSL pen to areas where there is natural shadow or depth to illuminate and improve dullness or reduce the signs of fatigue. For example, the inner corners of the eye for a wide-awake look, the cupid’s bow to give the illusion of a plump pout and your cheekbones for a natural sculpting effect.

Speaking of the gift set, one reviewer wrote: “Lovely set. Classic touche Eclat illuminator. Very complimentary colour lipstick, which leaves my lips feeling soft and lasts well. Perfect handbag size. Good value set.”

Another shared: “Great value set. Love the highlighter – use it everyday to conceal blemishes and brighten areas below the eyes. Lipstick was a bonus and a lovely colour.”

And a third explained: “I can confirm the touché eclat is full size and is a product I personally can’t be without! I use it like a concealer…although it doesn’t conceal, more adds brightness which is perfect for my mature skin. This set made the mini lipstick basically free, I’d describe the lipstick colour as nude/orange…worth a try.”

However, some said the set ‘could be improved’, commenting that they are not a big fan of the concealer’s application. They wrote: “The corrector is very nice consistency and colour matches well but the pen needs constant clicking for the right amount to come out. I find this could be improved since it’s consider a luxury brand. Is it really? I’m not sure. The lipstick is small size, too brown for my liking I mix it with another product to achieve the right shade but I’m liking it’s quality, I may try other ysl lipsticks soon.”

You can get the YSL Touche Éclat Illuminating Pen Gift Set for £24 (was £30) at Boots here where it is cheaper than LookFantastic. Alternatively, Debenhams have reduced a number of YSL gift sets including the Mascara Volume Effet Faux Gift Set on sale for £28.80.
