Common Christmas mistake you’re making with your decorations

With December in full swing, you might be itching to put your Christmas decorations up.

And now one TikTok cleaning content creator shared you need to “get your house Christmas ready” by giving it a good deep clean. Be honest, when was the last time you gave your home a real thorough cleaning?

If it was a while ago, then you’ll certainly want to change that before you whack the decorations up and deck the halls with boughs of holly. Cleaning content creator @cleaningwithdanielled said her “Christmas tree is going up soon” which essentially means “operation deep clean has commenced”.

She said when she deep cleaned her home, she was a “woman on a mission”, since she wanted to make things perfect as they wouldn’t be changed for the next couple of months.

“So first up is the living room”, she said, claiming she was “going in strong and stripping the sofa” so she could vacuum it up before festivities began.

She joked when she was doing something like this, she was a “strong independent woman” who “didn’t need no man” and was able to move sofas, as well as other bits of furniture around.

The TikTok user then gave her pictures a dusting, saying she was expecting it to be worse, but it wasn’t “that bad”.

Danielle said: “There’s only one product I’ll use on a deep clean and that is the Spanish Cleaner in Ropa Limpia,” and claimed the scent of it was “insane”.

She then rolled her rug up so she could mop the floor properly and then placed everything back where it needed to be “now it’s nice and clean”.

“I’ve not had my steam cleaner in a while, so I thought, you know what? Let’s steam this sofa and get it all nice and fluffy and smelling fresh again,” she admitted.

Danielle then said she wiped the “rest of the furniture down”, joking: “It’s at times like these that I’m grateful for a small living room,” so it was manageable to clean, but said it still took her “an hour”.

In the comments, people were left wondering how she managed to clean everything “in one hour”.

Others said they “can’t wait to see her tree”, with someone else adding: “Make melts in Roma Limpa”.

Some commenters asked her where different home decor things were from in her space.
