Banish mould from windowsills for good quickly with woman’s ‘magic’ trick

If you’re experiencing mould around your windows or on your windowsill, then it’s time to act as this unsightly visitor isn’t going to leave of its own accord.

TikToker @ladylegit posted a video captioned: “I used this about 4 months ago now & the mould still hasn’t grown back. Need to order some more of this stuff and battle every window!”

She said that “If the windows in your house look anything like” hers, then you want to sort it out, as she lifted the blinds up to reveal black mould lurking underneath.

“Honestly, as embarrassing as it is to show, I really wanted to share this because I feel like a lot of us have mould in our house and don’t realise how dangerous it is,” she said.

She also shared that she understands people struggle to “get rid of it permanently,” so she wanted to encourage people to try something that worked for her.

The product she used was the “viral” Mould Magic extreme gel formula, which promised to “banish mould quickly and easily”.

She said the product is meant to “get rid of the mould for good,” rather than just masking it.

“So it says to dry the area and leave the gel on for about two to three hours,” she read, as she popped it on the black mould on the window sill.

She then popped some gloves on and wiped the gel off, saying “the results speak for themselves” as she showed a window sill that looked as good as new, rather than filthy with mould.

This recommendation doesn’t come easily either because she said she’d attempted to use “three different bleaches,” but “the mould would always grow back” when she’d used a bleach product – whereas with the Mould Magic, it had been four months, and she’d seen no signs of it returning.

“It’s only going to get worse,” she said, urging those with a problem to actually address it, rather than just hoping it will go away on its own.

She then scrolled through some mould exposure symptoms, saying it “can cause serious health issues,” saying “it’s just not worth it”.

According to the government website, “Damp and mould primarily affect the airways and lungs, but they can also affect the eyes and skin. The respiratory effects of damp and mould can cause serious illness and, in the most severe cases, death”.

The viral product can be purchased for £12.99, but on TikTok shop, she said you could get two for “less than a tenner,” saying it was a “no brainer,” so if you’d prefer to check the dynamic pricing on there, you can.

In the comments, someone praised: “This really does work. I used this about three years ago and it honestly hasn’t returned.”

Another suggested an alternative method to try and prevent mould, penning: “I’m trying the German way of opening all doors and windows in my flat for 5 minutes twice a day get a good air flow through it’s really helping.”
