A regular Sunday morning interview on Fox News became a viral sensation over an unfortunate spelling error. On Fox News Sunday, anchor Shannon Bream was asking Pennsylvania Senator Dave McCormick about the brief shutdown of TikTok when a chyron flashed on screen: “TITKOK SHUTS DOWN IN THE U.S.” The caption was on air for over 10 seconds before it disappeared. The chyron reappeared moments later with McCormick’s name and title before eventually getting replaced with the original caption, this time with TikTok spelled correctly. McCormick argued that, “from a national security perspective, you cannot have the communist Chinese controlling and owning TikTok.” The senator expressed confidence that newly sworn-in President Donald Trump will find a solution to the Chinese-owned app’s divestiture woes.
