Cops arrest man who beat, raped woman in gruesome assault

Police have arrested a man who brutally beat and raped a woman in the Bronx early Wednesday.

The 26-year-old victim was walking near a building on Virginia Ave. and Wood Ave. in Parkchester around 3:30 a.m. when a man — identified by police as 21-year-old Gregory Williams — approached and sucker-punched the victim multiple times on the right side of her body, cops said.

The assailant then raped the victim before fleeing southbound on Virginia Ave., cops said, adding that afterward, Williams approached a nearby food truck vendor and asked for napkins.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and was listed in stable condition.

The gruesome assault was caught on video, and police were able to locate Williams Wednesday night at a homeless shelter on Pugsley Ave. and Westchester Ave., sources told the Daily News.
