15-year-old boy taken into custody after fatal shooting near Bronx courthouse

A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody Wednesday after fatally shooting a man near Bronx Criminal Court, cops said.

According to police, officers responded to a shooting around 2:42 p.m. on East 161 St. and Morris Ave. in Concourse — about a block from the courthouse — where the teen shot a 29-year-old man in the chest.

It was unknown what sparked the violence, or if the victim was targeted. He was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital. His name was not immediately released.

The teen was arrested shortly after the attack; charges were pending late Wednesday.
