‘We tested out the best Christmas candles and one smells heavenly’

A warm and snuggly home can make all the difference in spending time indoors, especially when it comes to a good candle.

We got to test out some of the Christmas candles that are available on the market.

Not only are candles great for a secret Santa gift but also for purchasing for loved ones or even yourself for around the home.

Prices range from £4.99 to £60 and can be purchased from a supermarket or online, all catering to everyone’s budget and needs.

The candles tested come in a variety of smells and were given an overall score out of 10. The best one will set you back £10.99 and will transform the home, giving it a festive feel. Let’s take a look at the results.

Christmas Pudding Multi Wick Candle

Price: £8 from Dunelm in-store or online.

There’s no better smell than a Christmas pudding going in the background. The festive scent has notes of candied orange peep, spicy ginger, raisins and honey. Plus, it has a burning time of 32 hours.

Overall score: 7/10.

Overall score: 8/10.

Wooden Lid Candle

Price: £4.99 from Aldi in-store.

Customers can choose from Candy Cane Lane, Sleeps till Santa or Fireside Spice fragrances. A more affordable option on the list and a great gift as part of a secret Santa, it’s fun and does the job without having to shed loads of money on a candle. It has a burning time of 32 hours.
