Princess Kate’s best Remembrance Sunday outfits | Royal | News

Princess Kate has often taken fashion cues from the late Queen Elizabeth and adopted the rule of always dressing appropriately for public engagements. The 43-year-old regularly dazzles onlookers on Remembrance Sunday after bringing effortless classy and chic styles to the forefront of the event.

It goes without saying that Kate prefers bold and vibrant colours when it comes to her wardrobe. But it is imperative that all members of the Royals Family wear dark colours when mourning.

The Princess is widely known for her aversion to wearing black unless someone has died or for using it to symbolise a mark of respect at an event. She has not followed in the footsteps of the late Princess Diana who homed in on the classic little black dress look.

However, Kate regularly pays a sweet tribute to her late mother-in-law through her choice of jewellery. Black portrays the image of grief and propriety which also demonstrates their status and taste.

Express.co.uk has taken a look back at Kate’s most show-stopping outfits which you could wear in your winter wardrobe at a bargain price. Black tones are great as you can wear them from day to night with the ability to dress up the simplest design along with a selection of accessories.

2016

Princess Kate first wore a Diane von Furstenberg coat the year she married Prince William and then again the following year. Kate is conscious of climate change and often re-wears her staples.

She accessorized with her three poppies, a John Boyd hat, and diamond and pearl earrings. If you would like to add a sophisticated element of class to your outfit this winter then we have found a beautiful set of earrings which Kate would no doubt approve.

2018

2018 marked the 100th anniversary of the armistice ending World War I.

For the occasion, Kate wore a bespoke jacket by Alexander McQueen and it is absolutely priceless. Similar styles by the label often retail at around £3,500 – but it was a one-off piece with reports indicating that it could now sell at a much higher figure.

However, if you want a McQueen look for an under £60 then the answer is the Lapel Collar Urban Dress from StyleWe which is available here and looks similar to the work of the fashion house.

2020

The event was socially distanced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kate showed appreciation to Catherine Walker for a second year and decided to go with another jacket.

She completed the look with a Philip Treacy fascinator and pearl drop earrings.

Hats can be chaotic during a special event when you are forced to remove them and are left with flat hair. Fascinators are a great alternative for a formal event or a fun day at the races.

Karen Millen’s Layered Mesh Detail cocktail hat is currently on sale for £64 and has the possibility to transform any outfit – and you can purchase it now.
