Shoppers say Kate Middleton’s beloved Le Chameau wellies are ‘really comfortable’

Royal fans must have praised this pair of iconic wellies which is often worn by Princess Kate and other members of the Royal Family but also wet-weather walkers and field-sport fanatics. The Le Chameau Wellington Boots are handmade using natural rubber that are tested to withstand the rigours of the countryside and at sea.

The Vierzonord Neoprene Lined Boots, £250, come with an adjustable waterproof gusset. This autumn season Le Chameau dropped the second release of The Black Boots across their three bestselling boot styles – Vierzon (from £180) , Vierzonord (from £220) and Chasseur (from £330).

There are many similar rain boots available on the market but what sets the Le Chameau ones apart is the craftmanship and choice of material. The new black colourway brings the utilitarian fashion from countryside to city and shoppers can easily pair them with trench coat or quilted jacket.

The Le Chameau rubber is soft and durable yet it  provides a robust and extremely waterproof exterior. With the 3mm neoprene lining, they keep your feet insulated in temperatures as low as -15 degrees and protect them against the harsh elements that come with wet weather.

The Chasseur boots are particularly different as it comes with a full-length waterproof side zip and rubber strap for close fit and ease of getting on and off. You won’t have issues tucking the trouser legs and worry rolling them up when wearing the Chasseur boots.

Supermarket-quality wellies might give you blisters and painful feet but the Le Chameau boots are complemented by a leather insole and shock-absorbing, insulating outsole that gives great arch support so you can enjoy hours of countryside walk in comfort.

One returning customer raved about the Chasseur boots and said: “After the Vieznord (two pairs split in different places) there is no comparison – these Chasseur are far superior in fit and quality. The length of the shaft is great for those of us with sportier/longer legs.”

A second noted: “Really comfortable and the zip is a game changer. I’m glad I went for the leather lining, it’s comfortable temperature even on hot days.”

Shoppers were also delighted with their Vierzonord boots, with one saying: “This is my third pair of these boots they last me around two and a half years as I have a dog and a horse. I pretty much live in mine throughout the year, comfortable and lightweight. Highly recommend.”

Another cusomter gave a five-star to these boots and shared: “Amazing, bought for the farm/ horses and are perfect, bought my normal size and they don’t rub whatsoever like wellies normally do.”

But some said the boots fit small and are “not great for wide feet” and another noted: “The lining of the boots will stain your socks blue. I wore two pairs of socks and both were stained, which is dissapointing for such a reputable product.”

Other than Le Chameau, British brand Hunter’s Original Tall Wellington Boots are perfect for people who prefer on a slide-on footwear. Barbour’s Aubrey Short Wellies, £65, are fur lined to keep your ankles warm.
